Notes
Although growing conditions were less than ideal with sporadic rain over vintage, our low crop levels and diligent vineyard husbandry produced our Chardonnay with great flavour and finesse. The Chardonnay grapes grown on selected vineyards in the Nelson region. Predominantly Chardonnay grapes were grown on Moutere Clay soils teamed with grapes from the Waimea Plains with well drained clay loam soils. 100% Barrel fermentation for over 11 months in a mix of French and American barrels. Aromas of fresh white peach, light cream toffee, layered with notes of vanilla and nutmeg. The palate is filled with vibrant fruit and oak, a nicely integrated wine.

A perfect match with lobster, crayfish, scallops & prawns or simply enjoy on its own slightly chilled.

It is splendidly fruited and gorgeously expressive on the nose showing golden peach, rockmelon, vanilla and cedar characters with nuances of brioche and butterscotch. The palate delivers excellent concentration and intensity, wonderfully complemented by creamy texture and refreshing acidity. Gracefully opulent.
