2020 Harvest was an incredible vintage and one of the most favourable Pinot Noir growing seasons for the Martinborough region in many years. Summer started with a warm, dry December with fantastic flowering and fruit set produced even berry and bunch size, little rain over the summer months and temperatures above average produced wines with remarkable colour, texture and depth of flavour. Our beautiful handcrafted Martinborough Pinot Noir is made from 100% BioGro certified organic grapes from a single vineyard grown in Martinbrough, handpicked at harvest. Pinot Noir grapes were de-stemmend with crushing, using gravity, wild yeast fermentation. 11 months maturation in old French oak barrels. The aroma is unmistakably Pinot - dark cherry and berry fruit supported by subtle smoky oak and nice touch of violet and soft spices. The rich palate is full yet elegant featuring lovely layers of cherry and forest berry flavours combined with savoury complexity and soft tannins.

Reviews & Awards
5 Stars - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit 2022
By Sam Kim
Seductively complex and engaging on the nose showing dark berry, warm mushroom, toasted spice and cedar aromas. The concentrated palate delivers plump mouthfeel together with silky texture and fine-grained tannins, finishing persistent and satisfying. At its best: now to 2030.
Premium - Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier 2022
By Cameron Douglas
Varietal and fruity with aromas of dark berries and plums, some barrel spices and a fine savoury earthy quality. New, and enticing. On the palate flavours of cherry return with a black currant and vanilla wood combination, tannins are firm and abundant and contrasted by the fruit core. Acidity pulls all the attributes together in a tidy, textured expression. Best drink from mid to late 2023 through 2027.
