Kahurangi Estate Nelson Pinot Noir 2021
The low yielding 2021 season became a stellar Nelson vintage for fruit quality and this delightful wine displays the ripe lifted aromas of plum, cherry and red berry fruit associated with long summers. The palate is mid-weight and rich in soft spice-berry flavours underpinned by subtle notes of French Provencal herbs.

2021 harvest was another high quality but tough vintage for the Nelson region. Starting with a cool spring and late, dry summer volumes were down overall by 35%. On the upside, the quality of fruit is superb, perfect for making sensational wine.
A delicious wine served with lamb, duck or salmon.
Gorgeous now through to 2028

4.5 Stars - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit 2022
By Sam Kim
It's beautifully ripe and inviting on the nose showing dark cherry, raspberry, floral and subtle spice aromas, leading to an attractively rounded palate delivering youthful fruit flavours with silky texture and fine tannins. Smooth and supple. At its best: now to 2026.
Premium - Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier 2021
By Cameron Douglas
Ripe, fruity and varietal with aromas and flavours of fresh red cherry and dark plum, there’s a fine dusty brown spice layer with vanilla and clove flavoured tannins followed by a chalky texture and youthful acid line. Still a very young wine needing some settling time, but has all the flavours and texture needed for a decent Pinot Noir experience. Best drinking from late 2023 through 2027+
